Dear Friends,
Here is a fantastic idea from a nearby resident of Crebilly Farm who has taken initiative and offered all of us something very valuable to use. I would like to share with you two incredible, pre-written, formatted letters that have been thoughtfully composed by a woman named Glynnis Harvey. She created these letters so that concerned citizens could simply download, fill out their own information (including anecdotes and/or personal messages) and send to their legislators, letters to the editor, etc. One letter pertains to the Brandywine Battlefield on Crebilly Farm and the other pertains to the negative impact this kind of developing will bring to the area. THANK YOU GLYNNIS!!! The letters may be found at the top of our ‘Letters’ page under the resource link:

Thank you for taking the time to send Glynnis’ letters to our legislators and others, along with the Brandywine Battlefield video, to help preserve our beloved Crebilly Farm. I apologize I am behind in my email responses to some of you and promise I will catch up as soon as possible. Your messages to me have been so inspiring, your ideas are wonderful and all very encouraging to keep going.
Leave no stone unturned!
Thank you,
Mindy
Hi my name is Richard Willumsen. I’m a local resident, tour guide in Philly, and member of the Civil War Trust and Campaign 1776. Thank you for posting the contacts info on your site. I have made several attempts myself to contact the powers that be in higher places on this issue since I became aware of your blog and they are aware of the situation, Brandywine is listed as the most endangered from development both in the short term and long term. I just haven’t received any feedback. If and when that happens I’m sure you’ll probably hear before I do. Good luck ! Rick

At some point, you may be adding to contacts of shakers and movers. You may want to add “The Society of the Cincinnati,” descendants of officers of the
Continental Army. Jack Warren is the president and can be reached email at :jwarren@societyofthecincinnati.org, Also, local and national Sons of the
American Revolution(SAR) and local and national Daughters of the American Revolution(DAR). Thanks. Now it
begins and nothing less then victory should be accepted. One house on this hallowed and pristine ground is one too many, let alone 317!

Dear John,
Thank you so much for reaching out and I couldn’t agree more. Thank you for Jack Warren’s email; I just wrote to him. I know of a couple women of DAR and they are working on that. I will see what else I can find out. Hoping others jump on it as well.
Thanks again for taking the time to help.
Sincerely,
Mindy
