Dear Friends,
I apologize for my tardy update regarding last Thursday’s meeting with PennDOT. The evening, hosted by PA State Representative Carolyn Comitta and Chief of Staff Christina Sappy, was in my opinion a very thoughtfully planned, well-organized and helpful meeting. I was glad I attended and gained a much better perspective with regards to the inner workings of the department and how it pertains to our surrounding area. The evening was not centered around Crebilly Farm and instead looked at a much bigger picture which I thought was important. Many questions were raised by the public at the end of the meeting regarding Crebilly Farm and the intersection at 202 and 926.
Ms. Comitta brought together seven members of PennDOT:
Ken McClain, District Executive
Tim Stevenson, Design Portfolio Manager
Lou Belmonte, Assistant District Executive for Transportation Services
Steve Laws, Senior Assistant Construction Engineer
John Krafczyk, Assistant District Executive for Maintenance
Robert Kennedy, Senior Highway Maintenance Manager/Engineering for Chester County
Gene Blaum, Assistant to the District Executive
Chester County is in District Six which covers five different counties: Chester, Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia and Delaware. There are a total of eleven districts across the state of PA. The intersection of 926 and 202 is scheduled for updating by PennDOT for some time in 2019. Their plan so far is to eliminate the current ‘split phasing’ and have left turns concurrently. In addition, there is a plan to add a southbound left lane but I am not clear on these details. It is my understanding these plans have nothing to do with the proposed possible development of Crebilly Farm. And for those who have asked, there was no mention of construction of a connector road.

Dear Mindy, On Saturday we are having a March for the Environment–meeting at noon at the CC Court House. Carolyn Comitta will speak about the importance of local action in saving the environment. Hope you will come with Crebilly Farm signs. Would love to have your local initiative represented. noon to 2 pm, walking up High Street to Quaker Hill 1:30 to 2.

Denny was there also and found it very interesting and informative. Any insight we can garner from these peripheral meetings will help us understand the bigger picture when Toll Brothers refers to PennDOT’s responsibility or local road improvement plans.
