It’s a good thing I am not a reporter, no doubt I would be fired for my tardiness… but I am a ‘better late than never’ kind of gal:) I am delighted for a beautiful rainy day to catch up! Never did I think I would miss an attorney for Toll Brothers… but I certainly missed Mr. Adelman Tuesday night and do hope he will return in September to bless us with his presence again. Mr. Adelman has class. And, he and Patrick McKenna, solicitor for Westtown Township, have a very respectful, and at times amusing, rapport. Tuesday’s attorney for Toll Brothers, Mr. Kaplan, however… well… let’s just say Mr. McKenna handled him with diligence and grace.

I’d like to bring us back to what makes the Crebilly Farm tract unique from other properties developed by Toll Brothers. At least half of this farm is part of the Brandywine Battlefield of the Revolutionary War. This is the one thing that may tip the scale in our favor. For almost an entire year I have been writing this email chain. And almost every day I’d like to quit because I can think of a thousand things I would rather be doing with the little free time I have. But I can’t. We can’t. This is too important. A huge reason we are here is because Westtown Township dropped the ball long ago by not updating their Comprehensive Plan and Toll moved right in on the opportunity. That alone should be a huge wake-up call for every other township in Chester County.
Folks, if you want to do something to prevent this development, then you need to get on the horn and continue to write and call the contacts provided by myself and others. Every morning it should be like brushing your teeth- pick a contact and please call. Or write. MASSIVE PUBLIC OUTCRY means this becomes bigger than Westtown Township. This is bigger than Chester County. Bigger than Pennsylvania. If you have an Aunt Naomi that lives two thousand miles from here and can make a phone call- please forward her this email. This needs to be a NATIONAL ISSUE! Why? Because IT IS.

Kindly call and email the contacts below. Please begin with the first two contacts in Chester County and ask them what is being done to save our American history on Crebilly Farm? What is being done to protect one of the last authentic view sheds? Ask them to request an independent, phase one archeological survey of the Crebilly Property. If the Robinson family will not agree to having this, then ask them to push the developer to allow this. Put pressure on these historic organizations to do their jobs and find a way. Get the county officials to push the state and Washington D.C. and the rest of us need to continue to push all of them.

Mark Kaplan is such bad news – endured him and his tactics for decade as legal council for all the Walmart hearings in Kennett Square,Oxford and Drumore Lancaster County. He is the lawyer for Catalyst (billboards on Rte 202 and region). Everything will be schedule for holidays etc, He will deny everyone but residents in township to speak. He is ruthless……………………………..so sad to hear Toll Brothers has hired him. Following from afar…………………..
