Nothing like a blizzard the week before Springtime to catch up on affairs! A reminder that the next Conditional Use Hearing before the Board of Supervisors is two weeks from today: Wednesday, March 29th, 6pm at Rustin High School. Think about bringing your own snack pack and some water as these meetings can be long. I’ll say it again- it is imperative we fill the seats. We need to show up and be present. Stay for what you can and leave when you need to. Just please be there. Our faces need to be seen by the BOS and Toll Brothers.
A reminder: Party Status will be decided for the following groups 3/29:
-Westtown Township Planning Commission
-Quarry Swim Club
-West Chester Area School District
-Neighbors for Crebilly, LLC
-West Glen HOA
Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending a public meeting in Pheonixville to hear Senator Dinniman speak. When given the opportunity, I asked him: How does one bring national attention to the threat of losing the Brandywine Battlefield on Crebilly Farm? After his thoughtful answer, I had to stand again and gently explain: “I have done all of those things. Myself, along with many others, have been ringing the bells since October. (In so many words…) What now?” His answer was this: “First, do not give up. Be tenacious and do not give up. And- call my office next week!” That made me laugh… and it made me feel encouraged. This is not over. Discouraged or not- we cannot give up. We need to keep going. We need to keep knocking on doors, making phone calls, writing letters, forwarding the video of Crebilly Farm and sounding the horns on all levels. And when you’ve exhausted your list, please go back to the beginning and start all over again… until.
This Friday, March 17th, 2-3pm WCHE 1520am
