Dear Friends,
I can hardly believe what I am about to share with you. This coming Monday, April 4th, 7:30pm at the Westtown township building, the Board of Supervisors will consider an agreement of sale between the township and the owners of Crebilly Farm. If I understand it correctly, Westtown township is planning to purchase 208 acres of the farm and the remaining acreage will be eased by Natural Lands. This gives Westtown township a year to work on financing the purchase, all to be completed by March 31st, 2023. Why, just in time for my birthday! How’s THAT for timing!
Here is the link to Monday’s agenda, including the agreement of sale:
See page 10 for the agreement of sale; See page 29 for map
In the meantime, Natural Lands remains committed to the preservation of Crebilly Farm, working hard behind the scenes, securing the necessary funding to help make it all happen. This process will take several more months and when the time comes for the community to donate to Natural Lands, for this cause, I promise there will be no mistaking my cue. We are getting closer.
Sincerely,
Mindy Rhodes
This is wonderful. Kudos to you and everyone who work so diligently in making this happen. This is the way it should have always been so that future generations will be able to enjoy this lovely parcel of land in Chester County!
